Chartered Accountant / Group Reporting and Consolidation Advisor (Italy)

Group Reporting Advisor required to join our international client in their new London finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the preparation and consolidation of consolidated financial statements and financial management of the Italian holding company.

• Lead the accounting & financial support by collaborating on delivery of statutory accounts.
• Lead JV reporting & asset accounting projects.
• Maintain working files for PPE & Goodwill
• Automating & updating shareholder reporting template
• Automate cost reporting template for inclusion in financial statements.
• Maintaining and updating Intercompany reporting & matrix
• Lead for analyzing working capital for all entities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, supporting the audit process from planning to completion.
• Participate in the implementation and improvement of financial reporting systems and processes.
• Support the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate with cross geographical Finance teams to ensure quality and completeness of financial reporting.
• Support the development of financial policies and procedures to enhance the overall control environment.

Requirements:

- Fluency in Italian (spoken and written) is essential for this role.

- Qualified and registered as a Dottore Commercialista (Italian Chartered Accountant) or hold an equivalent accounting qualification.

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial reporting, with exposure to group reporting activities, preferably with Big4 experience in Italy.

- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and strong technical accounting skills.

- Experience with ERP system and ability to develop analytical tools optimizing system reports

- Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and collaborative environment.

- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.

Important: The successful candidate will be expected in the UK Finance hub (City of London) 5 days per week for 3 months then 3 days thereafter.
