You will teach History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering a curriculum that combines detailed historical knowledge with source analysis, interpretation and extended writing.

At KS3, students will develop their understanding of key historical periods and events, while at KS4 you will prepare pupils for GCSE through detailed study of the relevant topics and examination requirements.

The successful teacher will make effective use of primary sources, historical interpretations, case studies and debate. Students should be encouraged to question evidence, consider different perspectives and explain historical developments using accurate supporting detail.

You will assess work regularly and provide students with clear feedback on how they can improve their historical writing and examination technique.
