Ref: 2034, Temporary French-speaking Nanny – Belsize Park / Hampstead, NW3

A family based in NW3 is looking for an experienced French-speaking temporary nanny to care for their 17-month-old son.
This is a full-time temporary role from 14 August to 2 September, with a possible further temporary booking in October. The family is looking for someone confident with toddlers, proactive with activities, and comfortable working in a household with dogs.

One boy, aged 17 months old.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
8:30am to 5:30pm
Total: 45 hours per week

Salary
£25–£28 gross per hour
Approximately £1,125–£1,260 gross per week
This is a temporary self-employed role.

Start Date
14 August
Until 2 September
Possible additional temporary booking in October, dates to be confirmed.

Pets
The family has three dogs.
There are no dog-walking duties, but the nanny must be experienced and comfortable with dogs, as they are around the house throughout the day and will interact with the nanny and the child.

Role Overview
The nanny will be responsible for the child’s full-time care during the day, including his routine, meals, naps, activities and general well-being.
The family would like someone who can take the child out for age-appropriate activities and provide a safe, structured and engaging day.

Main Responsibilities
Nanny Duties
Sole-charge care of one child aged 17 months
Following the child’s daily routine
Preparing and serving healthy meals and snacks for the child
Supporting nap times
Taking the child out for walks, classes and age-appropriate activities
Planning simple indoor and outdoor activities
Supporting the child’s development through play
Keeping the child safe and supervised at all times
Communicating clearly with the parents at the end of each day

Child-related Housekeeping
Keeping the child’s areas tidy
Cleaning up after meals and activities
Tidying toys and play areas
Managing the child’s laundry if needed
No deep cleaning
No dog walking

Requirements
Fluent French speaker
Minimum 3 years’ childcare experience
Strong toddler experience
Confident with sole-charge care
Proactive, reliable and organised
Must be comfortable and experienced around dogs
Must be comfortable working in a household with three dogs
Valid Enhanced DBS check preferred
Paediatric First Aid preferred
Excellent references
