Midday Meal Supervisor - SEN Primary Unit - Kennington, SW London

A Good Ofsted-rated Primary School in Kennington is seeking a confident and proactive Midday Meal Supervisor to join their specialist SEN Unit. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is bold, patient, and ready to support pupils with Autism and additional needs during lunch and break times.

As a Midday Meal Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, structured, and positive lunchtime environment. You will support pupils in the lunch hall and playground, helping them manage social interactions, routines, and behaviour while encouraging independence and positive engagement.

Responsibilities for the Midday Meal Supervisor:

• Supervise pupils in the lunch hall and playground safely and effectively.

• Support pupils with Autism and additional needs, providing clear guidance and reassurance.

• Encourage positive social interactions and engagement during break times.

• Work collaboratively with the SENCo, Teaching Assistants, and other staff to maintain consistency of support.

• Assist with behavioural management in a calm and proactive manner.

Midday meal Supervisor - Requirements:

• Confidence working with children with Autism and complex needs.

• Calm, bold, and approachable personality.

• Ability to communicate clearly and positively with pupils and staff.

• Patience, resilience, and proactive approach.

Midday Meal supervisor - Details:

• Location: Kennington, SW London

• Start Date: 4th November 2025

• Hours: 12:00pm - 1:30pm, Monday to Friday

• Pay: £13-£15 per hour (depending on experience)
