Candidate profile: In this role, you will lead strategic business development initiatives within CGI?s UK Banking & Financial Markets sector, helping clients accelerate their digital transformation goals. You will take ownership of high-value pursuits, shape opportunities from early engagement through to successful close and collaborate across CGI?s expert teams to deliver competitive, outcome-driven solutions. As a senior leader, your impact will be felt across client relationships, team growth and revenue success and you will directly contribute to revenue targets. You?ll thrive in an environment that supports creativity, empowers ownership and rewards ambition - equipping you with the tools and backing to drive measurable success while shaping the future of CGI?s impact within the market. You will also support coaching senior leaders and embedding sales best practices, you will influence a culture of excellence and position CGI as a trusted advisor in the market. Key responsibilities:
- Lead & Innovate: Spearhead strategic pursuits valued between £500k?£10m, especially consulting-led and multi-service deals.
- Coach & Influence: Guide Directors of Consulting Services (DCSs), embedding effective sales behaviours and pipeline discipline.
- Develop & Deliver: Define and execute strategic sales plans across priority accounts, targeting sustainable growth.
- Engage & Position: Build strong relationships with senior banking clients, articulating CGI?s differentiated value.
- Optimise & Automate: Monitor pipeline health, identify gaps, and lead targeted interventions to drive performance.
- Collaborate & Elevate: Work cross-functionally to craft compelling, competitive proposals that reflect market needs and CGI?s capabilities.
- Extensive experience in banking-sector sales, including new logo acquisition and strategic account growth.
- Proven ability to close complex, multi-service deals ranging from £500k?£10m.
- Strong proficiency in sales coaching and managing teams in matrixed environments.
- Board-level communication skills and expertise in opportunity shaping and stakeholder engagement.
- A creative, determined approach to pipeline development and business growth.
- Experience working with global or international banking clients.
