Senior Content Manager - eCommerce
About the role
At Rapha, content is how we inspire and connect with riders worldwide. As Senior Content Manager within our eCommerce team, you will shape and deliver premium digital content that elevates our global brand while driving digital trade across all markets. You will bring the Rapha story to life online with elegance, clarity, and commercial impact, ensuring consistency while embracing the nuances of our global audiences.
You will lead the development of a content localisation strategy to strengthen our presence across the US, Europe, and Asia, ensuring our content resonates deeply with riders while maintaining Rapha’s distinctive voice. Alongside creating exceptional content, you will develop and embed robust processes around content execution and measurement, ensuring our efforts are scalable, efficient, and data-informed as we grow.
Key responsibilities
Content Strategy & Planning
Develop and own the global content calendar for rapha.cc, aligning with trading priorities, seasonal campaigns, and product launches across all key markets.
Lead the development and execution of a content localisation strategy, ensuring content is culturally relevant while maintaining the integrity of Rapha’s global brand.
Use customer insights, market trends, and search data to inform content strategies that drive engagement and conversion across regions.
Content Production & Execution
Oversee the creation of premium content for homepage, landing pages, PLPs, PDP enhancements, and digital campaigns, ensuring every piece upholds Rapha’s standards while supporting trading goals.
Brief and manage designers, copywriters, and photographers to deliver clear, engaging, and visually compelling content.
Develop and implement robust processes for content execution, ensuring content moves efficiently from planning to delivery while maintaining quality and alignment with commercial needs.
Ensure all content meets accessibility and SEO best practices.
Trading, Measurement & Optimisation
Collaborate with trading and analytics teams to monitor and analyse content performance, using insights to refine content approaches and maximise engagement and conversion.
Develop scalable measurement frameworks for content effectiveness, ensuring results are tracked and actions are data-driven.
Implement A/B testing to inform content improvements and drive continuous optimisation across markets.
Integrate SEO practices to enhance organic reach and improve performance across global markets.
Leadership & Brand Guardianship
Act as a global brand guardian, ensuring all content adheres to Rapha’s tone of voice, visual identity, and brand values.
Mentor and support junior team members and freelancers, fostering a culture of accountability, quality, and creativity.
Partner with regional teams to align global campaigns with local trading needs while ensuring consistency and relevance in the US, Europe, and Asia.
About You
Proven experience in senior content management within eCommerce for a premium or luxury brand, ideally with global market experience.
Strong background in developing and executing content localisation strategies across the US, Europe, and Asia.
Deep understanding of how content drives traffic, engagement, and conversion in a trading-led environment.
Experience developing and embedding robust processes for content execution and measurement within a fast-paced setting.
Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Skilled in managing content production workflows and cross-functional stakeholders.
Proficiency with CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful) and using analytics to inform decisions.
Knowledge of SEO, UX, and digital content best practices.
Highly organised, collaborative, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high standard.
A passion for cycling, sport, or lifestyle brands is a plus.
Comfortable using project management platforms (e.g., Asana, Jira) to manage workflows and ensure timely delivery, and confident using Google Analytics and content performance tools to inform strategy and measure effectiveness.
Experience managing and developing team members, providing clear feedback while fostering a culture of accountability, creativity, and high performance.
