Contract - Test Lead
We are seeking a highly skilled Testing Lead to work closely with a Tier 1 Investment Bank in Glasgow or Bournemouth. The role involves end-to-end management of UAT processes, including test design, execution, automation adoption, and defect management, ensuring robust testing governance and alignment with the Bank's standards. Payments & Liquidity domain knowledge is mandatory. Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive E2E UAT scenarios for release-specific requirements using the Bank's tools and formats.
- Lead the set-up, utilisation, and maintenance of E2E automation scripts, integrating them into business workflows.
- Execute release-based test cases across all partner applications (internal and external) using recommended tools.
- Manage defects: identification, documentation, participation in triage meetings, retesting, and closure tracking.
- Provide daily status reports detailing execution progress, risks, and challenges.
- Participate in periodic meetings with vendor project leads/program managers to monitor progress.
- Oversee overall testing governance, including measurement, baselining, and tracking of KPIs and SLA
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements. Proven experience in UAT planning, design, execution, and defect management.
- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., ALM, Jira, Quality Center).
- Strong background in automation adoption and maintenance of E2E test scripts (e.g., Selenium, UFT).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with testing tools and adherence to testing standards.
- Mandatory domain expertise in Payments & Liquidity Beneficial Skills and Experience
- Experience in programme management and testing governance.
- Familiarity with KPI and SLA measurement and reporting.
- Exposure to large-scale financial services environments.
- Ability to drive process optimisation and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of additional automation or reporting tools (e.g., TestNG, Jenkins) As a means of managing tax, commercial and reputational risks, Deloitte prohibits the use of Associates through Personal Service Companies ('PSCs').
