A lovely family based in Finchley, London, is seeking an Afterschool Nanny to help care for their children.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of childcare experience and will speak fluent English. Someone warm, reliable, organised, and confident caring for children across toddler, pre-school, and school-age stages would be ideal for this role.
The nanny will be responsible for picking up the children from school and nursery, ensuring their safety and well-being, and supporting their daily routines. The role will include engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, reading, homework support, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park.
The candidate will also help keep the children’s bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy. General tidying and children’s laundry will also be required. The nanny will heat up dinner, prepare nutritious snacks, and occasionally prepare dinner for the children.
A driver with their own car is required for this role.
A valid first aid certification is required for this role.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 15:30 to 18:30
Duties include:
- picking up the children from school and nursery
- ensuring the children’s safety, well-being, and development
- keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas clean and organised
- engaging the children in interactive play and educational activities
- arranging outdoor outings, such as visits to the park
- encouraging early literacy by reading books with the children
- providing homework assistance
- supporting the children’s educational growth
- maintaining consistent daily routines
- carrying out general tidying
- managing the children’s laundry
- heating up dinner for the children
- preparing nutritious snacks
- preparing dinner for the children when needed
The family is looking for someone who can start on 29 September 2026.
