You will be responsible for leading the department in fostering critical thinking skills, promoting inquiry-based learning, and ensuring students develop a deep and nuanced understanding of geographical concepts and issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic development of the Geography curriculum, incorporating contemporary issues and technologies.
- Encourage innovative teaching methodologies within the department.
- Support and mentor Geography teachers in their professional growth.
- Develop links with universities and external organizations to enhance learning opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of teaching on student outcomes in Geography.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Geography or a related field.
- Significant experience teaching Geography at secondary level, including A-Level.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team and implement strategic change.
- Strong understanding of innovative pedagogical approaches in Geography.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
