Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Electrician to join our team, specialising in the maintenance and installation of electrical systems within social housing properties across West London. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of electrical services provided to tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work within social housing properties, including common areas and individual flats.
• Perform testing, fault-finding, and electrical inspections to ensure compliance with current regulations (e.g., 18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
• Carry out PAT testing and periodic inspections of electrical installations.
• Work within tight timescales while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Ensure all work complies with current building codes, health and safety legislation, and company policies.
• Liaise directly with tenants and other tradespeople to ensure smooth project completion.
• Complete necessary paperwork, such as job sheets and service reports.
• Manage and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in safe working order.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as an Electrician, ideally with social housing experience.
• Qualification in electrical installations (e.g., City & Guilds 2365 or NVQ Level 3).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certified.
• PAT Testing qualification (desirable).
• Full UK driving license (as you will be required to travel to different properties within West London).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with tenants and team members.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Previous experience in fault-finding and diagnosis of electrical issues in social housing properties is preferred.
