Town Planner

An exciting opportunity has opened for a Town Planner to join a leading, multidisciplinary consultancy in London . This role is ideal for a proactive planner with some experience or interest in renewable energy or socio-economic planning who is looking to develop their career on meaningful and sustainable projects.

What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the preparation of planning applications, consents, appraisals and strategy documents
- Providing policy analysis, development advice and planning risk assessments
- Contributing to projects in areas such as renewable energy infrastructure, urban regeneration, housing, and transport
- Undertaking socio-economic impact assessments and supporting planning for net zero initiatives
- Engaging with stakeholders, local authorities and communities
- Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams including engineers, economists, and environmental specialists
- Keeping up to date with policy developments and contributing to research and thought leadership
About the Team
You'll join a highly respected planning and policy team within an integrated consultancy that brings together planners, engineers, designers, and sustainability specialists. The team works across all stages of project development - from early strategy to planning consents - helping shape future-ready places that address climate resilience, social equity and economic growth.
The London office is a hub for national and international projects and offers a dynamic environment with a focus on creativity, innovation, and sustainable development.
About You
- RTPI accredited degree and working toward or already MRTPI qualified
- Experience in UK town planning (consultancy, local authority, or similar)
- An interest in or experience with renewable energy , infrastructure or socio-economic assessment is highly desirable
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to work across disciplines
- Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Passionate about sustainable, inclusive and future-focused planning
