Win as a team The Data Platform Lead will be instrumental in driving the technical execution and delivery of data platform deliveries within RSA. This role focuses on implementing cutting-edge cloud technologies, building scalable data engineering solutions. The Data Platform Lead will spearhead efforts to modernize the data practices, foster innovation and establish best practices in data engineering. You'll make an impact by: Key Responsibilities:Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, and implementation of data engineering solutions on cloud platforms like Azure(Data factory, Synapse, SQL) and Databricks, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. Data Engineering: Oversee the engineering and integration of data products, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions that support AI/ML initiatives and broader business objectives. Cloud Adoption: Drive the adoption and optimization of cloud technologies, with a focus on leveraging Azure and Databricks to enhance the organization's data capabilities. Collaboration: Work closely with data platform, data governance, and business teams to ensure seamless integration of data products, from development to deployment. Innovation: Champion the use of modern data engineering techniques, including automation, low-code/no-code platforms, and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate product delivery. Implementation: Oversee the end-to-end implementation of data products, ensuring alignment with business needs and adherence to timelines and quality standards. Mentorship: Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and collaborative growth. Your skills and experience:Cloud Expertise: Extensive experience with Azure Data factory, SQL, Synapse and Databricks, including deep knowledge of cloud data architecture, lakehouse, and data warehousing solutions. Engineering Leadership: Proven ability to lead and deliver complex data engineering projects, with a strong focus on automation, scalability, and performance optimization. Data Product Development: Hands-on experience in building and deploying data products, with a deep understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration techniques. Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Spark, as well as experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices. Innovation and Automation: Track record of driving innovation in data engineering through the adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies. Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams, with strong communication skills to engage stakeholders and drive alignment. Agile Methodologies: Experience working within Agile or continuous delivery frameworks, with a focus on iterative development and rapid deployment.
