Science Teacher
An inspiring Secondary School in Hackney is seeking a professional and highly organised Science Teacher to join their experienced academic team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-structured and supportive school environment where teaching staff play an essential role in the smooth operation of the school.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day instructional support across multiple key stages and assist senior leaders, teaching staff, and wider support teams. Responsibilities will include maintaining student progress records, updating school tracking systems, managing departmental correspondence, supporting attendance administration, and assisting with the organisation of scientific events, laboratory experiments, and STEM initiatives.
You will also support communication with parents, students, and external agencies while ensuring that information is handled professionally and confidentially at all times. Strong organisational skills are essential, as the role requires the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities within a busy school environment.
The school is looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative academic staff team. Good IT skills and confidence using learning management systems are important, alongside strong communication and interpersonal skills.
