The Role:
Home Instead are looking for caring, compassionate Live-In Carer/s in and around Chingford, who want to make a real difference in someone’s life every day.
Pay & Benefits:
From £130 per day depending on experience and contact time + daily food allowance
Double pay on Bank Holidays
Blue Light Card
£200 refer-a-friend bonus About the Role:
You’ll be supporting a single client in their own home, helping them feel safe, comfortable, and happy.
Your day to day will include:
Personal care, mobility support, and safe transfers
Medication assistance
Preparing meals, from traditional English dishes to baking and making the perfect cup of tea/coffee
Encouraging independence wherever possible
Supporting gentle exercise to build strength
Offering companionship, knowing when to chat and when to give space
Light housekeeping such as laundry, cleaning, and bed changes Other Opportunities:
While this role is for a specific client, Home Instead Chingford supports many live-in care clients. There are opportunities to work with other clients too, giving you variety and flexibility in your role!
What We’re Looking For:
Warm, patient, and kind-hearted individuals
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of traditional English cooking and baking
Understanding of dementia and ways to engage clients in meaningful activities
Pride in creating a welcoming home environment (our client loves visits from a friend’s dog, so comfort around dogs is a must!) Requirements:
Valid enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one (Home Instead reimburses the cost after 3 months employment)
Right to work in the UK (please note we don’t currently offer sponsorship)
Drivers preferred but not essential
