Join us as a Senior Frontend Engineer to help make workplace giving effortless, transparent, and embedded into everyday work!

We’re looking for an exceptionally skilled engineer who thrives at the intersection of product and technology.

In this role, you’ll build and scale the core functionality behind Goodstack’s workplace giving product, helping companies and employees support causes & charities directly through their workflow. If you have a strong engineering background, enjoy building secure, scalable systems, and want to work for a company making a hugely positive societal impact, this could be the perfect role for you.

As a Frontend Engineer at Goodstack, your mission will be to:

• Support the frontend team in building scalable donation & volunteering flows for employees.
• Integrate with payroll, HR, calendar, and payment providers to make giving seamless.
• Use AI on a regular basis to solve real user problems around agentic AI and content suggestions.
• Day to day you will be expected to write code and be involved in planning, product, and delivery.
• Be involved on a highly technical level, helping establish and build best practices regarding technologies used on the backend and cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure high code quality through automated testing, CI/CD, and monitoring, using tool like Github, AWS, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Work closely with product, design, and engineering peers.
• Contribute to product strategy through a user-centric, data-driven mindset.
• Participate in architectural decisions that shape the platform.
• Mentor engineers and help grow the team’s technical capabilities.

After 3 months, success will look like:

• Know your teammates well and feel comfortable in your new surroundings.
• Shipped features that directly impact our Workplace Giving product.
• Ramped on the product, processes, and workflows.
• Found the free sock merch in the office.

This role is a perfect match for you if you have:

• 5+ years of experience designing and building APIs on top of databases (we use Postgres).
• Designing and developing secure, scalable, resilient, and observable systems.
• Agile development and deploying to production regularly with CI/CD.
• In-depth knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience in monitoring systems, continuous integration, and automated testing.
• Strong knowledge of and enthusiasm for back-end architectures.
• Strong data-driven problem-solving skills.
• Can thrive in the quickly evolving environment of a start-up.
• A bias to action; you consider the short, mid, and long-term solutions and take a pragmatic approach to implementing them.
• The keen motivation to contribute to a product and vision.
• An excellent communicator with a strong drive to see large projects through to completion.
• A formal software engineering degree is very much welcome but not required.

Bonus if you have knowledge or love of:

• DevOps experience (Docker, AWS, Terraform).
• Working in a startup environment.
• Domain-Driven Development.
• Active volunteer in your preferred charity.
