Sous Chef - Allianz Stadium, Twickenham

£44,000 per annum, plus benefits

At Levy, we’re proud to be the official catering partner of Allianz Stadium, managing all food and beverage services from public concessions to premium hospitality suites. Known for high-end, sustainable, and locally-sourced menus, Levy offers everything from quick match-day food and drink to fine dining experiences for members and corporate events. We emphasize sustainability through initiatives like reducing single-use plastics, using seasonal British produce, and minimizing food waste, enhancing the stadium experience year-round.

About the role:

As Sous Chef at Allianz Stadium, you will play a key leadership role within the kitchen team, supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences across a range of events — from match days and banquets to high-profile corporate functions. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene while helping to inspire, train, and motivate the brigade. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will contribute to menu development, manage kitchen operations in the Head Chef’s absence, and ensure that all culinary outputs reflect Allianz Stadium's reputation for excellence.

Sous Chef Duties:
  • Create standout food - Prepare fresh, high-quality dishes that wow our guests and bring our menus to life
  • Drive kitchen excellence - Spot opportunities to improve food quality, service flow, and ways of working
  • Lead by example - Help build a positive, inclusive kitchen culture where your team feel supported, motivated, and proud of what they produce
  • Deliver exciting food concepts - Support the brigade in consistently executing our menus to brand standards
  • Champion the brand - Be an ambassador on site, representing our values through professionalism, passion, and plate presentation
  • Own stock & waste control - Support ordering, stock management, and food waste reduction to maximise efficiency and margins
  • Maintain immaculate standards - Oversee cleaning routines and hygiene practices to keep the kitchen inspection-ready at all times
  • Support financial performance - Assist with budget control and hitting key financial targets
Sous Chef Requirements:
  • Exceptional Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Foster clear and effective communication within the kitchen and with all team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail: Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to quality and precision in every dish, elevating the overall guest experience with every plate served.
  • Building Strong Relationships: Cultivate strong, respectful, and collaborative relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and guests. Deliver a service that not only meets but exceeds expectations, creating lasting impressions and fostering team cohesion.
  • Adaptability & Flexibility: Thrive in dynamic environments, quickly responding to changes with a proactive mindset. Embrace new challenges and continuously seek ways to innovate and improve.
  • Integrity & Accountability: Uphold the highest standards of personal and professional ethics. Be a role model in honesty, responsibility, and reliability, taking ownership of actions and outcomes.
  • Leadership & Development: Exhibit a natural ability to lead, inspire, and support a diverse team. Take initiative in developing new skills and expanding your expertise to grow with the business.
  • Client-Focused Approach: Skillfully identify and clarify customer requirements, ensuring that every dish meets their expectations while maintaining the restaurant’s vision and standards.
  • Time Management & Deadline Oriented: Manage multiple tasks efficiently, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards even under pressure.
Sous Chef Benefits:
  • Healthcare & Wellbeing - Medicash health benefits (including dental, mental health & optical for you and up to 4 children), free annual health check with Aviva Digicare, discounts at Nuffield Health & Pure Gym, and access to our Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Exclusive Perks & Discounts - Save on entertainment (up to 55% off cinema tickets), shopping (up to 15% off), Vodafone plans, and travel with top providers such as TUI & Expedia.
  • Workplace Benefits - Meals on duty, pension scheme, life assurance, and professional subscriptions paid.
  • Leave & Family Support - 23 days + bank holidays, your birthday off, extra leave after maternity return, a day off for your baby’s 1st birthday, and a holiday purchase scheme.
  • Career & Financial Support - Ongoing training & development, career pathways, financial wellbeing programme, and preferred rates on salary finance products.
