Religious Education Teacher

A dedicated and knowledgeable Religious Education Teacher is required to join the successful Humanities department of an Outstanding mixed school in Islington, commencing in September. Responsibilities

• You will deliver engaging and effective Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a passion for the subject and developing students' critical thinking and analytical skills.
• The role involves contributing to the positive learning environment within the department and supporting the students in achieving their full potential.
• You will cultivate a reflective and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore their own beliefs and engage in thoughtful discussions.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a strong specialism in Religious Education or Theology is essential.
• Experience teaching engaging and effective RE lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
• A broad and current understanding of different religious traditions and ethical frameworks is expected.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside strong classroom management and the ability to facilitate sensitive discussions, are vital.
