Part Time Nanny

Part-Time Nanny – Wimbledon, South West London
Hours: 25 hours per week, with flexibility around the working pattern
Children: Two children aged 5 years and nearly 2 years
Location: Wimbledon, South West London
Salary: £20-£21 gross per hour

A lovely family in Wimbledon are looking for a warm, energetic and proactive nanny to support them with the care of their two young children.

The eldest child attends school, while the younger child attends nursery on Mondays and Wednesdays. Mum is at home and will be around some of the time, so the role will involve a mixture of shared care and sole charge.

The family require 25 hours of nanny support per week and are flexible about how these hours are arranged within the following time windows:

- Monday: 4pm–7pm
- Tuesday: 8am–6pm
- Wednesday: 4pm–7pm
- Thursday: 8am–6pm
- Friday: 8am–6pm
- Saturday: 8am–12pm

The exact working pattern can be discussed with the family to suit the right candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Providing attentive, nurturing care for both children.
- Planning fun and engaging activities, including trips to the park, library and Little Gym.
- Supporting the children's development through play, books, reading and age-appropriate activities.
- Preparing and serving meals and snacks for the children.
- Managing the busy after-school and early evening routine, including tea, bath time and getting the children ready for bed.
- Supporting the younger child's needs, including confidently changing nappies.
- Keeping the children's toys and play areas tidy.
- Helping with light household tasks relating to the children, such as folding their laundry.

The Ideal Nanny

The family are looking for someone who has good energy, is proactive and genuinely enjoys spending time with young children. You will have solid experience caring for toddlers, be confident with nappies and enjoy planning activities that encourage learning, play and development.

A love of books and reading is important, as is a willingness to get outdoors and make the most of the children's time together. The successful candidate will be happy working alongside Mum when she is around, while also being confident taking the lead during sole-charge periods.
