Role OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and collaborative Project-focused Risk Officer to join our Enterprise Risk team in a vital role supporting the development and delivery of risk management within projects and the Enterprise Risk Management Framework. What you'll do
  • Monitoring and reporting : Monitoring risk indicators and preparing risk reports (ensuring Project risks are managed effectively).
  • Risk management: Supporting the organisation in identifying and managing its project and transformation specific risks.
  • Policy management : Working in partnership with different teams to manage their policies.
  • Contribute to the delivery of key risk initiatives , including the rollout of the new Risk & Compliance system.
  • Project involvement : Playing a part in supporting projects across the organisation with project risk management and ensuring risk management is integrated into the project life cycle.
The minimum criteria for this role are:
  • Experience of working in a project or programme environment.
  • Some knowledge of PMO software, agile and/or Prince 2 project methodology.
  • A strong sense of accountability, of knowing what you are responsible for and proactively delivering it.
  • The ability to understand and thoroughly investigate an issue, and provide challenge where necessary.
  • An interest in oversight of project risk.
  • Experience of working collaboratively with different teams across an organisation.

As a second line function, it provides advice and support to the business on risk and compliance and it oversees and provides compliance assurance.The Enterprise Risk team is accountable for the development, implementation and on-going maintenance of the risk management and controls framework across Nest and oversight of the management of key risks and controls. The team is also responsible for ensuring adequate insurance coverage for the business in line with the insurable risks that Nest faces.Reporting to the Head of risk. This role will support delivery of the enterprise risk management framework, controls framework and policy framework including liaising with the first and second lines of defence on risk-related topics and managing risk processes such gathering information for reporting, risk event management, insurance and policy management. Key support to the business in managing and maintaining their risks that support the delivery of our strategy, and to support the wider Enterprise risk team in preparing risk reports to the Executive Risk Committee, Risk Committee and Board. This role sits within the Enterprise Risk team, supports the application of the enterprise risk management framework methodology and ensures that standards are maintained and developed against an evolving and dynamic risk environment.
