Technical Officer
Salary: C. £40k + benefits My client is a globally recognised brand in the Food Industry, supplying the UK retail and foodservice market with the highest quality, sustainably sourced produce from around the world. They are seeking a Technical Officer to join their dynamic team, reporting directly to the Operations & Technical Director . This position plays a vital role in supporting the company's Quality Management System and driving continuous improvement initiatives . The role's primary focus is on managing customer complaints and investigations , while also working collaboratively with stakeholders across Commercial, Logistics, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients. In addition, the Technical Officer will provide support with operational and logistics‑related quality improvements. Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer complaints from initial receipt through to full resolution, in coordination with the Commercial team.
- Follow up with suppliers and analyse recurring issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct internal audits (training can be provided).
- Support HACCP reviews and SOP document updates.
- Support BRCGS Agents & Brokers compliance activities.
- Carry out customer and warehouse visits within the UK and occasionally overseas.
