This role is ideal for someone with an Early Years teaching background who enjoys nurturing children's educational development through engaging, play-based learning. Job Summary:
A lovely family based in Golders Green are seeking an experienced Part time Nanny Governess to support the educational development of their bright and energetic 4 year old son. The primary focus of the role will be delivering structured educational activities in line with the Early Years curriculum whilst making learning enjoyable through play, movement and exploration.

The successful candidate will work closely with mum, who has created a learning schedule, to deliver lessons covering literacy, phonics, mathematics, English and reasoning. The little boy is naturally curious, full of energy and thrives when learning through active play. He enjoys asking questions, loves the outdoors and has a keen interest in football and cricket.

There will occasionally be some involvement with the family's 9 year old child, primarily assisting with homework or school projects approximately once a month.

The role also includes accompanying the child to activities, playdates and classes, preparing simple healthy meals and maintaining the children's areas. A musical background would be highly desirable as the child will be starting violin lessons.

Job specification:
• Deliver engaging educational sessions following the Early Years curriculum
• Teach literacy, phonics, mathematics, English and reasoning following the family's learning programme
• Encourage learning through play, movement and age appropriate activities
• Support school readiness and continued educational development
• Escort the child to classes, activities, playdates and the playground
• Encourage curiosity, creativity and confidence
• Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for the child
• Keep the children's bedrooms, play areas and belongings clean, tidy and organized
• Occasionally assist the 9 year old sibling with homework or school projects

Candidate specification:
• Previous experience working as a Nanny Governess or similar role
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
• Ideally qualified and experienced teaching Reception or Year 1
• Fluent English speaker
• Warm, engaging, chatty and bubbly personality
• Passionate about children's education and development
• Confident delivering learning through play
• Musical background highly desirable, particularly knowledge of violin or music education
• Driver preferred (automatic car provided)
• Proactive, organised and able to work on own initiative
• Someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with children and making learning fun

Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
