The role:

Our Research and Insight Manager will play a pivotal role in driving Corndel's growth by providing robust market research and insights. This role involves managing research projects, analysing data, and delivering actionable insights to inform marketing and commercial decisions. This role reports to the Product Marketing Director and supports all marketing research and insight, as well as product marketing. The role will collaborate closely with Marketing and Product Marketing, Product, Strategy and other Business Development colleagues. This is a new role and a rewarding opportunity to create a new standard in market research and insight at Corndel.

Responsibilities:

Market Research:

  • Develop and execute effective research strategies to gather market, customer, and competitive insights
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to provide rich and specific insights into customer personas, segments, needs, and preferences
  • As needed, manage relationships with external research vendors and agencies
  • Stay abreast of market trends, AI and tech usage in research and insight, competitive developments, and industry best practices

Product Marketing Insights:

  • Collaborate with the Product Marketing Director to understand and address specific research and insight needs for product marketing
  • Provide insights to inform product positioning, go-to-market strategies, messaging and buyer persona development
  • Conduct extensive research into buyer personas to understand their pain points, motivations, needs, journeys and decision-making criteria. Provide the VOTC – this may include conducting primary market research interviews with clients, prospects and learners
  • Gather and analyse buyer feedback across all touchpoints, incorporating insights to enable product marketing to test, iterate and refine the go-to-market strategy

Support the Marketing Team

  • Support marketing managers in commissioning market research for campaigns. For example, creating proprietary research as thought leadership, PR and campaign content
  • Conduct data analysis to ensure key claims and reasons to believe can be evidenced with powerful statistics and insights
  • Own our buyer personas. Design and manage a sustainable methodology so timely and salient insights are provided to campaign managers on key buyer personas
  • Support the B2C marketing team with insights on learner behaviour to maximise learner acquisition and attraction

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Present research findings and insights in a clear and compelling manner to management and other stakeholders
  • Partner with other Corndel colleagues across a wide variety of departments to ensure relevant data and insights are surfaced from internal data sources e.g. excellence team, impact team, strategy etc
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with data protection regulations
  • Measure the success of research initiatives by tracking relevant metrics and KPIs
  • Set the standard and raise the bar across the Marketing team in understanding how to effectively use data and insights

Experience and Skills:

Essential:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor's, Master's degree, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a research or insight management role, preferably within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights. Advanced excel proficiency. AI literate for data analysis
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in qual and quant research methodologies and tools. Knowledge of survey design.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Ability to create compelling data visualisations using tools like Power BI
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Desirable:

  • Proficiency in SQL, python
  • Familiarity with CRM systems like Hubspot
  • Experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics
