Salary: £85–£115 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role
A welcoming primary school in Northolt, West London is looking for a compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join their SEN support team. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping children with additional needs achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
The SEN TA will work with pupils with a wide range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), speech and language difficulties, and learning difficulties . Support may take place on a one-to-one basis , within small groups , or within the classroom, depending on the individual needs of the children.

Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN to access the curriculum
Assist teachers with EHCPs, IEPs, and behaviour management plans
Collaborate with the SENCO, teaching staff, and other support staff
Support pupils’ emotional regulation, communication, and social skills
Promote positive behaviour using consistent strategies
Adapt learning resources to meet individual pupil needs
Support pupils during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times
Encourage independence, confidence, and self-esteem
Observe, monitor, and record pupil progress
Maintain safeguarding standards and ensure pupil wellbeing

Essential Requirements
Experience working with children or young people with SEN
Understanding of common SEN conditions and support strategies
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Right to work in the UK
Desirable (Not Essential)
SEN or education-related qualifications
Team Teach or behaviour management training
Experience in specialist provisions or SEN units
Background in education, psychology, care, or youth work
