- Provide leadership and direction to the clinical team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to our patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement clinical protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the designated Nominated Individual, responsible for overseeing the clinic's regulatory compliance and adherence to prescribing standards.
- Represent the clinic in all matters related to regulatory inspections and audits.
- Develop, implement, and monitor clinical governance frameworks to maintain and enhance the quality of care provided.
- Regularly assess and review clinical policies and procedures to ensure they align with the latest industry standards and best practices.
- Prescriber Management
- Oversee the management and supervision of prescribers, ensuring their adherence to ethical and legal standards.
- Collaborate with prescribers to optimise patient care, prescriber experience, medication management, and treatment plans.
- Support the Registered Manager in the recruitment of new clinical staff.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive clinical documentation and record-keeping systems to ensure accurate and thorough patient records.
- Implement processes for securely storing and managing patient information in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Patient Education and Support
- Develop and implement patient education programs to ensure patients have access to accurate information regarding medical cannabis usage, potential benefits, risks, and alternatives.
- Provide ongoing clinical support and guidance to patients regarding their treatment plans, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Implement processes for monitoring and evaluating the quality and efficacy of medical cannabis products and treatments.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations, addressing any identified issues promptly.
- Stay informed about the latest research and developments in medical cannabis treatments and therapies.
- Provide training and professional development opportunities for clinical staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality care.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the clinical team.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, CQC regulations, and guidelines pertaining to medical cannabis and ensure the clinic's practices are in compliance.
- Collaborate with the Registered Manager, regulatory agencies, and legal counsel to address any compliance issues and mitigate risks.
- Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council, including meeting CPD requirements
- Maintain own GPhC registration and revalidation requirements
- Independent Prescribing Qualification
- Postgraduate diploma or Master's degree in Clinical Pharmacy
- Professional knowledge acquired through a vocational degree in Pharmacy
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and CQC standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt within a changing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals
- Competence in using relevant IT systems
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Good conflict resolution and analytical skills
- Experience in planning and delivering training sessions and clinical services
- Clinical Governance Management experience
