Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant
SMART Teachers is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistants to work across a range of welcoming primary schools from September 2026 .
About the role
As a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant , you will support children within Nursery and Reception, helping to deliver a creative, play-based curriculum that encourages children to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
You'll assist with classroom activities, support individual pupils and small groups, contribute to observations and assessments, and help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning within Nursery and Reception classes
- Deliver engaging learning through play and child-led activities
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to support their development
- Assist with observations and contribute to children's learning journals where required
- Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence
- Help prepare and maintain stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and the wider Early Years team

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant you will:
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (CACHE, NVQ or equivalent)
- Previous experience working within an EYFS setting or UK primary school
- Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
- Warm, caring, and enthusiastic approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
