Lead Pharmacy Technician Clinical Services

- NVQ Pharmacy Services Level 3 plus an accredited underpinning knowledge (BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent) or equivalent
- Registered with the GPhC
- Qualification in leadership or management or equivalent short courses or experience
- Accredited Checking pharmacy technician status
- Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice
- Practice and educational supervisor training or equivalent qualification
- Post graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience and relevant short courses
- Successful completion of short courses relevant to practice
- Member of the Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK (APTUK)
- Significant post registration experience relevant to hospital pharmacy practice with assessed competencies
- Significant post registration experience of working in technical clinical pharmacy services within a hospital clinical pharmacy environment
- Significant experience of managing individuals and a team, including experience of human resources and employee relation matters
- Experience of leading, delivering and supervising audits and projects
- Experience in delivering training and education at undergraduate and postgraduate level
- Experience of being a practice supervisor for students and pharmacy staff
- Experience of working with automation
- Experience of leading, implementing into practice and/or publishing research
- Ability to motivate oneself and others effectively
- Ability to work effectively on own initiative, independently and as part of a team both within pharmacy and a multidisciplinary environment
- Demonstrates leadership and management skills including excellent communication skills to overcome barriers to understanding
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office software with proven computer literacy and IT skills
- Demonstrable time management, prioritisation, organisation and interpersonal skills
- Professional Manner, self-motivated and patient focused
- Ability to critically analyse and apply research to the clinical setting
- Advanced technical, clinical and professional knowledge of clinical pharmacy services with a successful record of application
- Knowledge of pharmacy and electronic prescribing computer systems, and Microsoft applications
- Knowledge of clinical governance, risk management and medication safety
