Nanny / Carer – Maida Vale, London

A wonderful family in Maida Vale are looking for a kind, gentle and warm nanny/carer who has previous experience working with children with medical conditions to support their adorable 3-year-old son, who has a rare skin condition that requires careful handling and a specialised daily care routine. You will join a small, dedicated team of nannies and carers who share the same goal: to give this little boy a joyful, safe and stimulating childhood.

This role would suit someone with a naturally nurturing personality, patience, and a genuine desire to make a meaningful difference. No previous experience with medical or complex needs is required – full training will be provided by the family. What matters most is empathy, gentleness, willingness to learn, and a calm, reassuring approach.

The Role:
Up to 5 shifts per week (mix of day and night shifts)

Day shifts: 8am–6pm (10 hours)

Night shifts: 8pm–8am (12 hours)

You’ll work closely with the family to help with:

Gentle care, daily routines and supporting his development through play

Attending classes and pre-nursery sessions (you will stay with him for safety)

Assisting with a very specialised care routine (full training provided)

Helping maintain a calm, clean and hygienic environment

Night-time settling and basic care when on night shifts

About You

The family are looking for someone who is:
? Extremely gentle, patient and attentive
? Warm, caring and eager to learn
? Open to receiving training and guidance
? Experience with children or paediatrics is helpful, but not essential
? Understands child development and enjoys engaging with toddlers
? Flexible to support occasional rota changes
