Underwriting Assistant (Political Violence & Terrorism)

Location: London | Lloyd’s Market

We’re currently supporting a specialty insurer in the Lloyd’s market in their search for an Underwriting Assistant to join their Political Violence & Terrorism team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career within underwriting in the London Market, working closely with experienced Underwriters and Exposure Management specialists while gaining exposure to a highly specialist class of business.

What you’ll be doing:

• Accurately entering risk data into internal systems and rating models

• Maintaining and updating aggregate exposure data within risk modelling tools

• Supporting Underwriters with regular and ad hoc reporting

• Liaising with brokers to resolve underwriting queries

• Ensuring data quality and reporting checks are completed and cleared

• Assisting with risk data cleansing and quality control processes

• Supporting the Exposure Management function with administrative tasks

• Helping prepare information required for the annual business plan

You will also have the opportunity to build relationships with brokers and market stakeholders, gaining valuable exposure to how specialist risks are managed within the Lloyd’s market.
