Copywriter

We are looking for an experienced Copywriter to join the Brand team. You will be responsible for producing all forms of digital copy, including writing product description copy, editorial features, e-newsletters, site-static content updates, home/landing page updates, digital marketing/paid social assets, PPC and other copywriting requirements.
You will be part of the Brand Marketing team, reporting to the department head and responsible for ensuring everything is on-brand, compelling, accessible, optimised by channel and results driven.
What you will be doing :
- Ensure daily and weekly copy deadlines are met in order to maintain the smooth running of the eCommerce studio by maintaining department efficiency.
- Produce and deliver creative and authoritative copy which informs the reader and enhances the Joseph Joseph customer experience.
- Write SEO optimised product description copy for our bi-annual product launches to be used on our website and catalogues.
- Stay current on innovations on paid social platforms that impact changes in copy strategy, and communicate those changes across multiple teams and accounts.
- Be responsible for creating and editing copy that is clear, concise and accurate, whilst also demonstrating excellent awareness and knowledge of brand identity and tone of voice.
- Act as the point of contact for editorial copy, training and sub-editing, and communicating the business tone of voice to external contributors.
- Ensure editorial content is effective and successful by conducting research, planning and owning the content creation process from beginning to end, including liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure the brand message is aligned and SEO optimised.
- As part of this role you will also commission and manage translation copy where required and help maintain our master product copy bible.
What we need from you :
- 5+ years copywriting experience, with demonstrable digital competency
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail, spelling, punctuation and grammar
- Able to work quickly and effectively whilst maintaining a high level of quality across multiple projects
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Demonstrate you are a strategic and creative thinker who can proactively solve problems
- Able to work on your own or as part of a team, marrying words and pictures into powerful and persuasive messages
- Experience working with consumer products is preferred but not essential
