French-Speaking Nanny & Governess – Battersea, London

An esteemed and caring high-net-worth family based in Battersea, London, is seeking an exceptional French-speaking Nanny & Governess to provide the highest standard of care and education for their bright 5-year-old son. The ideal candidate will be refined, intelligent, and nurturing, combining traditional values with a creative and educational approach that inspires curiosity, confidence, and good manners. Above all, the family seeks someone who inspires trust and is capable of providing a gentle, understanding, and grounded environment where the child feels secure, valued, and encouraged to thrive.

Responsibilities include:

Preparing the child for school each morning and ensuring he is well-presented and ready for the day.

Assisting with after-school routines, including homework support and engaging enrichment activities.

Providing a caring, nurturing and stimulating atmosphere that supports the child’s intellectual, emotional, and social development.

Speaking fluent French at all times to encourage bilingual language skills.

Planning educational and creative activities tailored to the child’s needs and interests.

Preparing healthy, balanced meals for the child.

Maintaining open communication with the parents and household staff to ensure a harmonious routine.

Traveling with the family as required, both in the UK and internationally.

Position details:

Location: Battersea, London

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. (with breaks)
Rota one month on, one month off also possible

Salary: £1,500 – £2,000 net per week (depending on experience)

Accommodation: May be provided

Start Date: As soon as possible

Contract: Long-term, full-time role

Requirements:

Fluent in French with excellent English communication skills.

Educated, experienced, and well-mannered, with a genuine love for children.

Previous experience in a Nanny or Governess role within private or HNW households.
