Vaccine Nurse

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Vaccine nurse to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in administering vaccinations to patients in a safe and efficient manner. This role is part time from September to December

Duties

* Administer vaccines to patients according to established protocols and guidelines.

* Prepare and manage vaccination supplies, ensuring all equipment is sterile and ready for use.

* Monitor patients for any immediate adverse reactions post-vaccination and provide appropriate care if necessary.

* Maintain accurate records of vaccinations administered, including patient information and vaccine details.

* Educate patients about the vaccines being administered, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth vaccination process.

* Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures to protect both patients and staff.

Skills

* Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain medical procedures clearly and compassionately.

* Attention to detail to ensure accurate administration of vaccines and record-keeping.

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care.

* Knowledge of immunisation schedules and vaccine types is advantageous.

* Empathy and patience when dealing with patients, particularly those who may be anxious about vaccinations.

* Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare colleagues.

* Previous Experience in Vaccinations
