The Role

At Charles Tyrwhitt our purpose is to “Make it easy for men to dress well” and we can’t do that without our specialist teams.

This time, we’re on the lookout for an Accounts Assistant who will be working with Charlotte from our Group Finance team.

What you will be doing

This is an exciting role for an accountant in the early stages of ACCA/CIMA courses. It is an opportunity to develop in a highly successful, growing retail business with a strong international presence. This role will give exposure to all areas of financial accounts, management accounts, sales ledger & cashflow. Some of the key tasks within this role will include:

• Bank reconciliations across multiple currencies and territories
• Working closely with our Third Party Business Development team to prepare and send out sales invoices along with posting these into our accounting system
• Sales ledger reconciliations
• Weekly preparation and ownership of aged debt report along with credit control work
• Month end management accounts preparation and journals to include – prepayments / sales / gift vouchers / credit card fees

The Accounts Assistant role specifically requires someone who is looking to kickstart a career in Finance, and has a Finance / Accounting degree or some experience of already working within Finance.

Once upon a shirt, Nicholas Charles Tyrwhitt Wheeler (whilst studying Geography at Bristol University – we might add) had the notion that he could make a better shirt at better value than anyone else in the world! Not forgetting our Distribution Centre and Contact Centre in Milton Keynes.
