Senior Contracts Manager

We're looking for a Senior Contracts Manager for a public sector organisation, based in Birmingham or London (hybrid), on a contract running until March 2027, paying up to £650 per day (Inside IR35, Umbrella).

This is a hybrid role with an expectation to attend the office three days per week.

The successful Senior Contracts Manager will lead the commercial and contract administration of NEC forms of contract across a major delivery programme. You'll provide governance and commercial assurance to directors, contract managers and project managers, drive the resolution of contract issues and change, and coach and supervise a team to keep contract management consistent and compliant. You'll also lead on compensation event assessment and work to secure value for money across the contract lifecycle.

You will need proven experience in the following:

NEC contract administration
Contract governance and assurance
Negotiation and contract risk management
Leading stakeholders through contract change processes
Compensation event assessment
Coaching and supervising team members

Experience of corporate contract management on publicly funded projects would be beneficial, along with knowledge of UCR/PCR regulations, Professional Services contracts, dispute resolution, procurement and cost control.

You'll need to hold or be eligible to obtain BPSS clearance.
