Commercial Product Associate (Customer Delivery & Insight)

What will you be doing?
We’re hiring a Commercial Product Associate to join our international product team. This graduate-level role is designed for a curious, driven individual eager to uncover customer needs and translate insights into actionable product ideas. You’ll engage directly with customers and market participants to understand their workflows, challenges, and goals, while also supporting data analysis and desk research to inform strategic decisions.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to customer-centric innovation in fast-growing sectors such as Hydrogen, Carbon, Battery Metals, Rare Earths, and Wheat, all while learning from experienced professionals and supporting global decarbonisation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Discovery & Insight (Primary Focus)
- Conduct structured interviews and discovery sessions with customers and market participants.
- Uncover workflows, pain points, and desired outcomes to inform product development.
- Synthesise insights into clear documentation for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across editorial, consulting, and technology.
- Maintain a repository of customer insights, quotes, and use cases.
- Present findings to senior stakeholders to bring the customer voice into strategic conversations.
- Support development of customer personas, journey maps, and value frameworks.
Desk Research & Data Analysis (Secondary Focus)
- Analyse customer usage data, CRM records, and feedback from internal teams.
- Combine multiple data sources to build a holistic view of customer engagement.
- Support business cases for new product ideas with robust, insight-driven analysis.
- Maintain departmental reporting tools and dashboards.
- Monitor competitor offerings and market benchmarks.
- Prepare updates and presentations summarising insights and strategic recommendations.
What We’re Looking For
- A recent graduate with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Curious and driven to understand customer behaviour and market dynamics.
- Comfortable conducting interviews and synthesising qualitative insights.
- Confident working with data from multiple sources and drawing meaningful conclusions.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
- Collaborative and open-minded, with a growth mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Ideally some exposure to CRM systems, customer research, or usage analytics.
