Are you a technical specialist with a flair for data analysis and school management systems? A high-achieving Secondary School in Hackney is looking for a meticulous and proactive Data Manager to join their support staff team immediately .
This is a critical role responsible for the integrity of the school’s management information systems (MIS) and the production of vital performance data for the Senior Leadership Team.
The Role
Position: School Data Manager
Location: Hackney, North London
Start Date: As Soon As Possible (Immediate)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (All-year-round or Term-time plus 2 weeks)
Salary: Competitive (Scale SO1 – PO3 depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
MIS Management: Take full ownership of the school’s database (e.g., SIMS, Bromcom, or Arbor), ensuring all student and staff records are accurate and up to date.
Reporting & Analysis: Design and produce complex data reports on student attainment, progress, and attendance for the Headteacher, Governors, and Ofsted.
Academic Reviews: Setting up and managing the data entry cycles for termly reports to parents and internal assessment windows.
Census Returns: Managing the timely and accurate submission of the DfE School Census and other statutory returns.
Timetabling: Assisting the Deputy Headteacher with the annual construction and maintenance of the school timetable.
