Housing Officer
Location: South London
Contract: 9-month ongoing contract
Pay Rate: £30 per hour (Umbrella)
Working Pattern: Onsite 4 days per week
Interview Process: Face-to-face interviews
Job DescriptionWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Officer to join a housing team in South London on a 9-month ongoing contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an effective housing management service, supporting residents and dealing with a range of tenancy-related matters.
You will be expected to manage your own caseload, respond to residents' enquiries and work closely with other teams to resolve housing issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of tenants and deal with day-to-day housing management issues.
- Respond to tenant enquiries, complaints and requests for assistance.
- Carry out tenancy visits and property inspections.
- Investigate and deal with tenancy breaches and reports of antisocial behaviour.
- Provide advice and support to tenants on housing-related matters.
- Work with internal teams and external agencies to resolve resident issues.
- Identify vulnerable residents and make appropriate referrals where required.
- Maintain accurate records and update housing management systems.
- Support tenancy sustainment and ensure housing policies and procedures are followed.
- Previous experience working as a Housing Officer or within a housing management role.
- Good knowledge of tenancy management and housing procedures.
- Experience dealing with tenants, complaints and antisocial behaviour.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and work independently.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
