Baker (Hiring Immediately)

Job Purpose The Trainee Baker will support and guarantee daily preparation of products at the highest standard, quality and quantity determined by the Production Operations Manager. Key duties and responsibilities The Trainee Baker will provide support with Preparing the production area Ingredient preparation and daily products (focaccia bread, cookies, loaf and sponge cakes, viennoiserie and sandwiches) Prepare baking tins and trays for correct product Storing ingredient appropriately as suggested by the Production Operations Manager Shadow and get experience to use methods such as; mixing, scaling and shaping to handcraft our bread Maintain the cleanliness of all food preparation areas and equipment Checking and unloading stock on arrival Taking out bins Support team members with jobs needed throughout the day Person specification Hard working, highly motivated, passionate and reliable Positive and “can-do” attitude Attention to detail Great listening skills and follow step by step processes Excellent levels of personal hygiene Flexible approach to work to meet the needs of the service Ability to adapt to change Willingness to undertake further training and development Level 2 Food Hygiene & Safety Benefits Contracted hours: 45 hours – Full Time (overtime is paid) Working Hours are between: 5am-4pm Shift Pattern: Mon-Sun, any 5 consecutive days out of 7 Location: The Bakehouse, 1 Fortunes Walk, E20 1FS If you live in a 5-mile radius, this job is for you What’s in for you Hourly rate of £8.50 - £10.50 per hour depending on experience (monthly pay) Employee Discount 50% while on shift and 20% off orders and when you bring friends 29 days annual leave Staff yoga Mental health wellbeing Staff evenings out
