Club Secretary
The Club Secretary is a rare and prestigious opportunity to lead one of London's most historic and iconic private members' clubs. Founded in 1861, the Club is renowned for its heritage, exceptional membership, and deep connections to the horse racing community. Based at the iconic 5 Carlton House Terrace, you will be responsible for the overall operation, membership, finances, staff, facilities, and strategic development of the Club.

The Work
- Lead the day-to-day management of the Club and its staff.
- Manage membership administration, member relations, and Club events.
- Oversee budgets, financial reporting, and commercial performance.
- Support the Chairman, Management Committee, and governance processes.
- Ensure excellence in hospitality, facilities management, compliance, and health & safety.
- Coordinate the Club's racing activities, syndicate operations, and flagship events.
What You Need
- Proven experience as a Club Secretary or similar role.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and commercial awareness.
- Strong financial acumen and operational expertise.
- Experience working with boards or committees.
- Ability to lead diverse teams and uphold heritage organisation's values and traditions.
Desirable
- Experience in the private members' club or related sector.
- Knowledge of horse racing and its community.
