Asia Pacific Travel Designer

Jacada Travel
London

You’ll be creating unique and personalised travel itineraries that include authentic experiences across the Asia Pacific region, designed with responsible travel practices in mind. This is a sales-focused role where your main goal is to convert leads into bookings by building strong relationships with our clients. Through frequent and thoughtful phone conversations, you will get to know our guests and their travel needs. You’ll inspire them with your own passion for and knowledge of travel throughout the Asia Pacific. You’ll provide exceptional customer care before, during, and after travel.

We are looking for a curious and genuine people-person who is enthusiastic about speaking with Jacada guests and forging long-lasting relationships with them.

What you’ll be doing

  • Speaking directly with our guests through frequent phone calls, video calls, and email to gain a comprehensive understanding of their travel needs, interests, and passions. This is a high-contact sales role where you'll be on the phone often.

  • Curating bespoke itineraries across the Asia Pacific to suit each individual guest personally — seeking to include sustainable, one-of-a-kind hotels, resorts, and excursions while following responsible travel practices.

  • Using various sales techniques to convert leads into sales effectively and consistently.

  • Upselling experiences and premium options to enhance the client’s trip.

  • Cross-selling alternative locations or destinations if a client's first choice is unavailable or does not match their needs at the time they want to travel.

  • Handling follow-up administrative tasks promptly and accurately, including booking confirmations, invoicing, and updating client records in the CRM system. There will be a significant amount of admin that must be dealt with quickly and efficiently.

  • Cultivating connections and building rapport with your guests before, during, and after travel to increase repeat business and referrals.

  • Maintaining a highly organised sales pipeline and working efficiently within our CRM and sales systems. Prioritising tasks, working to deadlines, and embracing Jacada best practices.

  • Responding to any challenging situations efficiently and effectively, always focusing on a positive client experience.

  • Collaborating with all departments, DMCs, and the wider company to provide a seamless experience for guests.

  • Assisting the marketing team with editorial content and the creation and updating of example plans for Asia Pacific destinations.

  • Being prepared to lend a helping hand, particularly when team members are away.

  • Maintaining and forging caring, supportive, and professional relationships with DMCs and suppliers on the ground across the Asia Pacific region.

  • Travelling on FAM trips within the region — collaborating with your team, marketing, and operations departments before travel to ensure optimum fact-finding and delivering product training on your return. Uploading videos and pictures to our asset management system.

What you’re like

  • At least one year of experience in travel sales, preferably specialising in the Asia Pacific region.

  • Care deeply about the Asia Pacific and have extensive knowledge of the region through first-hand experience.

  • Be passionate about responsible travel.

  • Celebrate diversity.

  • A curious and genuine people-person who is enthusiastic about getting to know Jacada guests and forging long-lasting relationships with them.

  • Listen carefully and be considerate of others’ opinions and ideas — both guests and colleagues.

  • Open-minded and keen to learn.

  • Problem-solve; viewing challenges as opportunities to grow, particularly when travel plans require adjustment.

  • Supportive, positive, and keen to embrace the Jacada culture of wellness and togetherness.

  • Highly motivated with an ability to multitask and be driven by selling outstanding itineraries.

  • Creative, with a desire to lead the way in travel.

  • Calm under pressure.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Be a team player — help your colleagues achieve their goals too.
