SEN Teacher - Westminster
A central Westminster primary school is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to take up post in January 2026. The SEN Teacher will support pupils with a range of additional needs, deliver targeted programmes, and work with teachers to adapt the curriculum so every child can access high-quality learning. The Westminster school values precision teaching and strong family engagement; the SEN Teacher will be integral to securing excellent outcomes.

The role involves day-to-day teaching, data-led intervention, and coordination of statutory documentation. The appointed SEN Teacher will link with external specialists and governors to ensure accountability for SEND provision. A careful handover will be provided prior to January 2026 so the SEN Teacher can begin with clarity and momentum.
Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted teaching and bespoke learning plans to meet individual needs.
- Use assessment to set measurable targets and to refine interventions over time.
- Support teachers to differentiate effectively and implement inclusive classroom strategies.
- Coordinate reviews, manage documentation and liaise with health and local authority professionals.
- Build strong relationships with families and keep them informed of progress and next steps.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher with a solid background in SEND practice and evidence of positive impact.
- Knowledge of statutory processes, EHCPs and multi-disciplinary working.
- Strong organisational skills, tactful communication and a commitment to inclusive education in Westminster.
- Available to begin January 2026 and to work in central Westminster.
