  • Enhancing Engagement - use additional reporting to enrich BBC News content and propose ideas for original journalism relevant to Romanian-speaking audiences.
  • Collaboration & Expertise Sharing - work closely with the Europe team and other BBC departments, offering insights on Romanian and Moldovan politics, history, society, and culture.
  • Content Planning & Monitoring - track diary events in Romania, Moldova and the wider region to identify opportunities for curating and publishing relevant BBC News content.
  • Professional Standards & Innovation - uphold journalistic integrity, flag editorial issues, ensure legal and copyright compliance, suggest improvements and act up as requested by the Editor or Senior Journalist Team Manager.

  • Production of search-engine-optimized (SEO) headlines, for Romanian-speaking and wider European regional audiences.
  • Understanding of the Romanian and Moldovan, as well as wider European media markets and current challenges to factual journalism in the region.
