Part-Time Afterschool Nanny in Islington, Job ID J22D5C
A family based in Islington, North London, is looking for an experienced, proactive, and academically supportive Part-Time Afterschool Nanny to care for their two children, aged 7 and 9 years old. The ideal candidate will have fluent English, strong organizational skills, and a proven ability to support older primary-aged children—particularly with 11+ exam preparation for the eldest child.
A valid first aid qualification is required for this position.
Working hours: 3 days per week (flexible, but ideally Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) from 15:00 to 19:00 (3:00 PM to 7:00 PM), totalling 12 to 15 hours per week.
Duties include:
- collecting the children from school and ensuring their safety and well-being
- providing dedicated homework assistance and supporting the children's educational growth, including helping the eldest child prepare for their 11+ exams
- engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as park visits
- establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support structure and development
- preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored specifically to the children
- handling child-related housekeeping, keeping the children's bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy
The family is looking for someone who can start in November 2026.
