W hat we’re looking for

As our sales team and the business continue to grow, we are looking for ambitious and self-motivated sales professionals to join our collaborative and successful team.   In this role you will work autonomously and design your own success strategy with uncapped potential. You will need a high level of emotional intelligence and business acumen to match.  Are you keen to push yourself outside your comfort zone and work in a continually evolving industry?  Build a real name for yourself as a specialist in the commodity markets data space for a business which has been established for over 50 years?  

What will you be doing

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys consultative based selling and earning a competitive compensation package. The role itself is within the European sales team as a hybrid account management and new business role, you will be responsible for selling Argus market data, price assessments and reports to the European regions. You will develop the growth strategy across the territory and managing the renewals process for existing customers, applying a consultative and methodical approach to sales and account management. The role includes travelling to European destinations where you will meet and engage with your client base.   

We are looking for entrepreneurial traits, where the successful candidate owns their book of business and is responsible for developing growth strategies to hit target. The right candidate will be able to develop their account management skills, selling technique and market knowledge in this role, as Argus has an ecosystem that encourages development and growth. There is plenty of support along the way, where collaboration and teamwork are essential to high achievement. The key to success in this role will be developing an understanding of the client's business to tailor a package to support their commercial decisions and investment strategies. 

Skills and Experience

  • Successful track record of at least 2+ years in B2B sales/Account Management preferably with international experience  
  • Market experience within Commodity Market Data/Information Technology desirable
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills and ability to ‘network’ to get results for your clients 
  • Identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling
  • Experience in data/IP/Subscription sales preferable 
  • Educated to Degree level or above 
  • Self-motivated, confident and results driven individual
