Programme Manager
As Housing Programme Manager, you will oversee a range of programmes and business priorities across the Housing and Homelessness Service, providing high-quality information, insight and support to senior management.
You will work closely with teams across Housing Management, Place, Repairs, Compliance and the Virtual Housing Hub, helping to coordinate departmental priorities and support ongoing service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Programme Manager for the Director of Housing and Housing Department Management Team across Housing and Homelessness.
- Oversee and manage the programme of work and business requirements for the Director of Housing and senior management team.
- Support the day-to-day coordination and management of the Director of Housing and Management Team’s office.
- Support the development and implementation of departmental priorities and key objectives.
- Provide timely, accurate and high-quality information, insight and operational support to senior management.
- Coordinate work across Housing Management, Place, Repairs, Compliance and the Virtual Housing Hub.
- Support service improvement initiatives and ensure key priorities are delivered effectively.
- Monitor programme activity, actions and priorities to ensure timely delivery.
- Represent the Director of Housing and Management Team across the wider Council and with external stakeholders when required.
- Work collaboratively with senior managers and stakeholders across the Council to support the delivery of Housing priorities.
- Previous experience working as a Programme Manager, Project Manager, Housing Programme Manager or similar within a housing or local authority environment.
- Strong understanding of Housing Services and the challenges facing Housing and Homelessness teams.
- Experience supporting senior management or Directors with strategic programmes and departmental priorities.
- Strong programme and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to produce high-quality information, reports and insight for senior leaders.
- Experience working across multiple housing functions and supporting service improvement.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
