Marketplaces Manager

Mous Products Ltd
London

About Mous

We are Mous. (Pronounced mouse, not moose.) People deserve tech and lifestyle products that are fit for purpose, perform as promised, and empower them to be their best. That’s why we’re building the go-to brand for products that genuinely deliver.

For over 10 years, we’ve pushed product performance to its limits, designing from first principles, validating through real-world testing, and investing millions in R&D. In parallel, we’ve built world-class in-house marketing capabilities, creating highly engaging, performance-led content that proves what our products can do and resonates with a passionate, fast-growing community around the brand.

From throwing phones off dams to launching category-defining products, our ambition is simple: raise the standard of the industry and build one of the most effective consumer brands in the world.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Marketplaces Manager to take on the exciting responsibility of overseeing our Marketplace channel globally (predominantly Amazon). We've built real momentum on Amazon and are looking for someone to own that performance, systematise what's working, and extend it across our full product range as well as scoping and prioritising new opportunities.

You’ll work closely with in-house creative, growth, and data teams to continuously optimise listings, advertising, and go-to-market strategies. In addition, you’ll play a key role in shaping broader commercial strategy by translating marketplace insights into clear business opportunities.

You will report directly into Will Ward, our Head of Commercial, and take on management of our Marketplaces Executive. For the right person, this role offers strong ownership and visibility, with responsibility for helping to scale both the team and the P&L, meaning there’s a real opportunity to drive growth and directly influence business performance.

About You

You are a commercially-minded, results-driven marketplace leader who understands how to win on platforms like Amazon. With a proactive, analytical and performance-focused mindset, you are comfortable owning outcomes and diving straight into the detail to quickly identify opportunities and taking decisive action to drive growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to take ownership of a high-impact revenue channel, using data to shape strategy and push performance forward with clarity and pace. You will play a crucial role in scaling an already fast-growing area of the business, helping to unlock new opportunities and take the marketplace function to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help to build and define the marketplace strategy, setting a clear direction for growth and driving performance across the channel, with a primary focus on Amazon

  • Lead end-to-end performance reporting, delivering clear, actionable insights across key areas including sales performance, stock availability, aged inventory, and the effectiveness of brand vs paid activity

  • Manage and develop the Marketplaces Executive, providing guidance, structure and support to ensure strong execution and continued team growth

  • Work closely with the Growth team to shape and optimise the Amazon advertising strategy, ensuring alignment between paid media and overall commercial objectives

  • Leverage Amazon as a launchpad for international expansion, identifying opportunities to enter and scale in new markets and regions

✔️How will success be measured?

  • Define and execute a clear, scalable marketplace strategy, establishing a strong direction for the function within Mous and aligning it to overall business goals

  • Deliver a clearly defined path to incremental growth, identifying and unlocking new opportunities to drive sustainable revenue across marketplaces

  • Improve operational efficiency, with a focus on reducing marketplace fees and minimising aged or excess inventory

  • Develop and elevate the Marketplace Executive, building capability within the team and ensuring high standards of execution as the function scales

Skills requirements:

Hard skills:

  • Strong understanding of Amazon and its associated tools and ecosystem (Seller Central, Helium10 etc)

  • Proven experience managing and optimising marketplace advertising performance

  • Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action

  • Solid understanding of inventory and logistics management, including stock health and availability

Soft skills:

  • Effective people management, with the ability to support and develop junior team members

  • Strong commercial acumen, with a focus on driving revenue and profitability

  • Confident stakeholder management, able to collaborate cross-functionally and influence outcomes

  • Excellent prioritisation skills, able to balance multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment

  • Adaptable and proactive, comfortable navigating change and ambiguity

Nice-to-have:

  • Technical data skills (e.g. advanced Excel, SQL, or similar), with the ability to work with large datasets

O ur Offer

We operate a hybrid working model, typically spending at least three days a week in our Hoxton office to maintain our collaborative and high-energy culture.

Benefits include:

  • Significant opportunity for growth, ownership, and career progression

  • Competitive salary reflective of experience and impact
