Cover Supervisor / HLTA

About the Role

In this varied position, you will work across the primary phase, covering lessons and supporting teaching and learning from EYFS through to Year 6 . The role requires flexibility, initiative, and a proactive approach to support pupils and staff effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Provide high-quality support for teaching and learning across all year groups
• Adapt quickly to different classrooms, age groups, and subjects
• Support pupil engagement, behaviour and wellbeing
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
• Contribute to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working in a primary school setting
• Be confident leading whole classes independently
• Demonstrate excellent adaptability and a positive, flexible attitude
• Have strong behaviour management skills
• Be committed to supporting all pupils to achieve their best
