Control Analyst
- Assisting in the execution of an appropriate 1st line risk and assurance environment, supporting the delivery of a best-in-class governance framework and execution strategy
- Supporting key projects that serve the Risk agenda, which may involve regulatory and audit deliverables
- Gaining an understanding of the business priorities, strategy, and change agenda, and deploying knowledge and expertise in support of a sustained control environment
- Acting as a support point for ‘risk and control’ coordination and syndication of all Operations Services
- Assisting in the refresh and strengthening of policies and standards in partnership with business-wide owners
- Supporting the oversight of the closure of management actions across all 3 lines of defence
- Monitoring risk and control events, incidents, and control themes internally and externally, and supporting relevant stakeholder groups with timely and relevant insight
- Experience of working in or within a Control type role/team with the ability to demonstrate a risk management mindset
- Ability to apply judgement and balance risk versus business interest whilst ensuring compliance to all relevant policies and standards
- Basic knowledge of a Banking/Payments Risk function and its key activities
- Some practical experience of Risk and Control governance activities including scheduled Annual Risk Assessment (RCSA) other risk and control environment assessments
- Experience of working with 2LoD and 3LoD teams to share ideas, building robust relationships with risk stakeholders, ensuring that the design and effectiveness of governance and controls manage risk
