Nanny

A wonderful family based in Hammersmith is looking for a full time, live out nanny to help care for G (turning 2 in May) and a baby boy arriving in August. While the mum is on maternity leave, this will be a shared charge role to start. And once she goes back to work, this will be a sole charge role post maternity leave. They are really looking for someone who will be with them for years to come as the two children grow up.

The days and hours for this role are Monday to Friday 8am-6pm. Some flexibility will be required given parents’ work schedules. Mum travels frequently for work but when she’s back from a trip wants to soak up time with the kids.

A typical day will involve getting G2 ready in the morning, having breakfast and walking to nursery just ten minutes on foot. Nursery pick up is around 12:30pm and then they will head home for G2's nap. During nap time, the nanny can prepare healthy homemade meals, keep areas used throughout the day, especially the kitchen, family room and laundry room, tidy as well as load and unload the dishwasher. Afternoons will be filled with fun activities, playdates, park trips, library visits and Barnes Wetlands, to name a few. They are looking for someone who is detail-oriented and organized. During mum's maternity leave there will be some tag-teaming with both children, ensuring mum still gets quality time with G2 whilst the nanny bonds with and helps maintain a solid routine for the baby. Mum is looking for someone who can really help her with the kids and around the house during maternity leave. As mum will be returning to her full time job in due course, experience with sole charge of two children is essential.

G2 is a bright and chatty little one, smiley, sociable, confident and very much her own person, already loving the independence of dressing herself.

The ideal nanny for this role is someone warm, smiley, and calm who loves to play and a genuine support to the parents as they navigate this next phase. The nanny will want to be helpful to the family, they will love being outdoors, have a proactive and energetic approach to the day and take a real interest in nurturing the children's development and milestones. Flexibility is key, as is someone who is happy to tag-team with mum during the maternity leave period and slot comfortably into the rhythm of a busy, loving family. Both parents have demanding jobs and the ideal nanny will, at times, be flexible to accommodate work schedules.
