Facilities Assistant - Full Time
We\\\'re currently recruiting a dedicated Facilities Assistant to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in CH&CO on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.
Job Purpose
The Event Porter will work closely with the College facilities, IT teams and kitchen porters to achieve shared Event@no6 goals. The purpose of this role is to deliver day-to-day porterage services; the position will be physically demanding and focuses primarily on manual handling and room presentation.
Main purpose
• To be responsible for room set up in preparation for onsite events. This includes arranging furniture and equipment in line with the clients’ pre-agreed requirements.
• To provide reactive support for event room changes and alterations in service, making adjustments as required.
• To support the College Facilities team in the management of event deliveries.
• To assist in providing a clean, safe, clutter free event space before, during and after events.
• To be the primary contact for meeting room close down, in line with pre-determined room layouts and equipment for college and commercial events.
• To complete proactive health and safety, security and compliance tasks when undertaking daily duties.
• To assist the kitchen porter with their duties during busy or quite periods in the kitchen.
Key duties
1. To support with function room set up and close down.
2. To assist the Facilities team and support Events@no6 team and clients as required.
3. To fulfil facilities checks throughout the day, following procedures to ensure functionality, cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
4. To identify and report maintenance or safety problems and ensure these are recorded adequately. This includes taking immediate action to report or address services and equipment that are unsafe or not working correctly.
5. To arrange for the collection of any boxes or items by events@no6 organisers.
6. To assist with the management of external contractors relating to Events@no6.
7. To assist the management team in monitoring stocks of house events@no6 supplies, stationery and ordering requirements.
8. Wear the correct uniform and safety shoes as directed and maintain uniform
items appropriately
9. To understand and comply with CH&CO and statutory health, hygiene and safety, quality standards including COSHH and HACCP ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance these standard
10. Work with all colleagues in a polite and helpful way to ensure excellent customer service
Additional Information
• This role will operate on a shift rota between RCPath facilities team and Events@no6 but some out-of-hours work will be required. – Amendments department upon the Events position required to be supported
• Occasional weekend working will be required for which appropriate notice will be given.
• To retain confidentiality at all times.
• To attend training courses and attend CH&CO meetings when necessary
