👀The Role

As Associate Director, Paid Social you’ll architect and lead performance‑driven, social‑first media strategies for some of the most exciting purpose‑led brands in the market. Partnering with our Head of Paid, you’ll own senior‑level client relationships, steer a growing team of specialists, and champion innovation across Meta, TikTok, Google (and the next big platforms). Your remit spans strategy, commercial growth, creative collaboration, and data‑fuelled optimisation - ensuring every pound spent drives measurable impact and long‑term brand value.

🎨 What you'll be doing:

Paid Strategy

• Develop and lead full-funnel paid media strategies that align with client objectives and market opportunities.

• Translate audience insight, platform behaviour and cultural trends into actionable, forward-thinking campaign plans.

• Guide testing roadmaps, media mix modelling and long-term strategic growth plans.

Paid Implementation

• Oversee campaign architecture, targeting, budget allocation and pacing across all platforms.

• Ensure rigorous governance on naming conventions, tracking, exclusions, audience segmentation, and pixel hygiene.

• Introduce automation and workflow tools to scale implementation efficiency and accuracy.

Paid Creative & Content

• Partner with creative and influencer teams to develop content that performs - from hooks and formats to messaging and call to action.

• Lead creative briefing with clarity on platform best practice, funnel stage, and audience expectations.

• Build frameworks for creative testing, iteration and insight-driven improvement.

Paid Reporting & Communication

• Create reporting structures that deliver insight - not just data - including platform metrics, performance storytelling, and business outcomes.

• Present results confidently to senior client stakeholders, connecting performance to strategic impact.

• Guide your team to produce clear, timely, and value-driven updates across all campaign phases.

Client Leadership & Growth

• Act as a senior partner to clients, understanding business goals and translating them into smart paid strategies.

• Identify and drive organic growth opportunities by aligning paid media with evolving client priorities.

• Lead senior presentations, strategy sessions and QBRs with clarity and influence.

Team Leadership & Development

• Line-manage and develop Paid Managers and Executives, building their technical, strategic and client-facing skill sets.

• Shape internal learning and progression plans across all paid social disciplines.

• Foster collaboration with Creative, Strategy, Organic Social and Influencer teams.

Commercial & Operational Excellence

• Own commercial performance - forecasting, scoping and managing profitability across your portfolio.

• Guide pricing models and resource planning to deliver efficiency and impact.

• Contribute to agency ops by evolving processes, tooling and delivery standards.

🔍Who we're looking for:

  • 6+ years of paid media experience, with at least 2 years in a senior strategic or leadership role within an agency environment.
  • Deep expertise in Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads, with proven success across performance, prospecting and brand campaigns.
  • A strong track record in strategy development, creative collaboration, and platform-first innovation.
  • Advanced knowledge of campaign setup, pixel tracking, exclusions, segmentation, and optimisation frameworks.
  • Confident using and communicating data and familiar with attribution platforms (Triple Whale, Polar Analytics, etc).
  • A collaborative leader-skilled at growing high-performing teams and influencing internal and client stakeholders alike.
  • Commercially sharp-able to confidently scope, price, forecast, and grow client accounts.

💰 Salary Range

  • Competitive Base Salary Range: £50,000 to £55,000 depending on experience & location. Company bonus not included.
